This lovely walk starts directly from Camping La Grisse!
A bucolic stroll through the hedged farmland, sunken lanes and quiet marshes, ideal for getting away from it all, just a stone's throw from your accommodation.
This loop takes you into the Givre region, an authentic land where nature still lives to the rhythm of the seasons.
You'll cross sunken lanes lined with oak trees, pass by typical farmhouses with tiled roofs, and perhaps come across a few horses or cows peacefully settled in the meadows.

Duration: 3 h to 3 h 30 (leisurely pace, with breaks)

Start:from the campsite, take the rural path heading east/north-east towards the bocage.
Cross hedgerows, fields, small woods - this area is characteristic of the Vendée hinterland around Le Givre.
You can aim for the Marais or nearby wetlands, then return to a local village or hamlet - returning via another country lane to make a loop.
On the way, you may spot local heritage features: small heritage, old farms, sunken lanes, bridges, ditches.
Return to the campsite through another hedged area or wooded edge.
The Coastal Path - Between dunes, ocean and freedom
Looking for a breath of fresh sea air?
From Camping La Grisse, it's just a ten-minute drive to the start of the Sentier du Littoral, in La Tranche-sur-Mer. It's a great way to get away from it all, with the family, as a couple or with friends, to enjoy the wild beauty of the Vendée coastline.

The Sentier du Littoral starts near the Pointe du Grouin du Cou, an iconic site where the ocean meets unspoilt nature.
Following the signposts, you then walk along the Grande Plage, perfect for a photo break or a dip in the water.
Further on, the walk winds its way between protected dunes and maritime pines, offering welcome shade in the warmer weather.
The path continues towards the Pointe d'Arçay, a haven for migratory birds, with incredible views of the Ile de Ré on a clear day.
Each turn offers a new perspective: here, a panorama of the waves; there, a clearing or sandy path that invites you to stroll.
